Consuelo Ulrich is the youngest daughter of Alberto Ulrich a storied family of art collectors. She was born in Taxco, Mexico and reared on the legendary Rancho Spratling surrounded by master silversmiths practicing their artistry daily. She attended university in the United States and holds an M.F.A. in Art History.
Consuelo launched the "Stefano" brand in 2008 in memory of her beloved brother.
Using her formidable personal and professional experience, she creates jewelry that is both a fashion statement and a work of art. As both an artist and artisan, Consuelo Ulrich is involved in the entire creative process, from initial sketch to finished piece. The precious metals, rare gemstones and unconventional materials are employed and fashioned by Mexico's celebrated maestros de plata.
Taking her inspiration from nature and whimsey, her oeuvre includes pieces such as lustrous strands of silver bougainvillea petals, luscious silver and amethyst calla lily’s, luminous butterflies and golden angel wings with black diamonds.
These creations represent a fantastical fusion of Mexican and American luxury.
